The Grand Hotel Mencey is Tenerife’s most iconic hotel having opened its doors in 1950 and being frequented by Royalty and the rich and famous.
It is a stylish urban hotel located in a residential area of the capital city Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and is an oasis of tranquillity from the city beyond its walls. The location of this hotel is away from the tourist resorts and Santa Cruz is a working city.
The hotel is a beautiful colonial style building restored in 2011 in a luxury contemporary style, but still maintaining its original colonial feel.
The rooms are minimalist in style with leather and wood furniture, wooden floors, en suite bathrooms, sound system and international TV.
The impressive 7000 sq. meters of sub-tropical gardens has palms, lawned areas and a swimming pool, sun loungers and parasols.
Los Menceyes restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner, and the Los Laureles terrace restaurant is open for drinks, snacks and lunch between 11am and 6pm.
There is also the Lobby bar with garden terrace offering coffee, wines, beers, cocktails lunch and dinner. The Grand Hotel Mencey also has its own casino open to the public.
