Poorly Pete

We are still in Puerto de la Cruz. Pete has not been well a 24hr virus that involved a lot of toilet visits! So have little to report for today. I spent afternoon on sun roof reading with glass of wine. We are both a bit tired, as it kicked off here last night. On last blog I did mention although good standard here at Hotel Casa del Sol, all sorts are staying! Couple in apt above us are just NUTS! And the younger ones had a party near our room last night. Yesterday we visited La Orotava, about 20mins by bus from here. High up in the Orotava Valley was a lot cooler.  Go to the old town, & visit the fine mansions & churches, all are well preserved. Along the steep cobbled streets are very different boutiques, & most houses date from 17^th & 18^th centuries. We enjoyed it & recommend a visit .I have just been too little Spanish shop to buy snacks as we are having a room picnic tonight.(Pete not up for going out really) Before we wish you Buenas noches want to wish Angie a Happy Birthday for Saturday (see you soon for another catch up)
