From Alcala, to Golf del Sur, to El Medano
From Alcala we headed south, arrived in Gulf del Sur, disappointed this time with our accommodation at The Aguamarina Hotel. It is not what we expected, should have booked the Ritz Resort in Amarilla Golf. But it did not come up on our booking page. Maybe they were full. I have good memories of holidays here in the past, and the New Year party at the Ritz Resorts Golf Club.
Pete said the Gulf del Sur resort had a different feel to it, maybe it had changed. Stayed the night, realised it is us that have changed. We have travelled around the Island now experiencing the culture, history, mountain villages and typical Spanish towns. Will always visit Gulf del Sur we are attached now and there is plenty of sun shine here.
Moved on to El Medano, have stayed before, it is known for being windy, nice as very hot in the South right now. At the end of our journey I will be doing a summary of everywhere we have stayed from Red Level palace! And low level Budget accommodation. Later I am going to set up a little advice line via my e-mail address. It will be a small introduction to begin with.
We booked in a couple of Hotels and been pleased we are only staying for couple of nights but what about the people who are booked in these places for their whole holiday! I can only advise on what I have experienced so far but that could make a difference to holiday experiences for others.
There are some beautiful places here and like anywhere in the world some not so good. You should not associate the lively resort of Las Americas with the rest of the South.
So for the last part of our journey we are staying at one of the most luxurious Hotels on the South Coast. Will blog about our last days shortly. It will be interesting staying not far from Las Americas, in one of the Top Class Hotels. Rooms are £230 a night. We found a deal by booking through our Web Site for £149 a night. We are going to a fabulous place………….
