A Restless Night Tenerife

We found ourselves in a situation that we did not expect, it bought to my mind one of the episodes from my favourite TV series Fawlty Towers. Where one of the guests is complaining that it says Hotel on the sign outside.  So is it a Hotel or isn’t it?

The first evening here we were sitting in the courtyard having a drink. It was still early, and the girls in the café were starting to shut everything down. I noticed there was no owner or manager around. On arrival Pete spoke to the owner on the phone.

The courtyard Café is busy with customers from outside as well as Hotel guests, which happen to be Jane & Pete. When everyone left the couple of girls running the café turned all the lights off and on leaving they locked the large wooden front doors of the Hotel. I realized we were on our own here in this Hotel there were no other guests and no staff around!

I kept hearing noises during the night, it sounded like furniture being moved and banged down, and I was really frightened, also knowing we were completely alone in the hotel. Pete on the other hand was fast asleep I have always said Pete could fall asleep hanging on a washing line!

I kept waking Pete up during the night, saying did you hear this & that. The next night I slept better, actually I was exhausted from not sleeping the night before. It was then Pete’s turn to hear the strange banging noises!
This Hotel is really nice, we are just not sure what is going on here during the night…………..
