At Hollywynd where I was working today, I meet a couple from Scotland. They told me they visited the South of Tenerife a few years ago and did not like it. They said it was too English. I told them about my travels around the Island, and that I was aware there is a perception about the South.

It would be fair to say that there are areas like this in the South, but equally there are good areas.  Our Web Site contains helpful information, and good research on areas, and accommodation.

It is so disappointing if you book bad accommodation, or do not like the area you are staying in. It could make you not want to return to the Island.

We stayed in Playa Fanabe in the South at Hotel Jardines de Nivaria. It was a good experience. The Hotel is so luxurious with lush gardens, and heated pools, different bars, and restaurants. You don’t really want to go out. We did venture out for our research. Playa Fanabe is not far from Las Americas, but not as busy, and we found some nice restaurants there.

A project is in place to clean up a bathing area at Playa Paraiso in the Adeje district. This has been presented by the company Hotel Jardines de Navaria. Over the past few years there have been changes for the better happening in the South, and this continues today.
