Driving is on the right in Tenerife, and do take care, there has been an increase in horrific accidents on Tenerife in recent years.
The wearing of seat belts is compulsory, and motoring offences are penalised with on the spot fines.
On Sundays and public holidays some petrol stations are closed and not all take credits cards.
There are parking restrictions in busy streets in Santa Cruz, Playa de las Americas and Puerto de la Cruz; you will need to buy pay and display parking tickets.
