Would you Believe it

Here at Vincci Golf & Spa Hotel in Buenavista we have just seen a couple, Graham & Tayah, that we met in 2012 when we were all staying at Red Level in Alcala, Tenerife. Sitting at breakfast this morning, I was just about to tuck into my third croissant, when Pete pointed behind me and said ‘look who is here’.

I think all four of us were surprised to be meeting again on the Island. Funny thing was, when we booked the Hotel at Buenavista, I reminded Pete that Graham & Tayah had recommended it to us last time.

The four of us sat chatting about nice places to stay here. Graham can tell you the best restaurants to eat in, and Taya knows all the tricks of getting a good deal. They are also frequent visitors to this Island.

With the mountains for the back drop and the rugged coastline, on arrival at the hotel you may think you are in the middle of nowhere, it’s really scenic and beautiful here.

The Vincci Hotel is well kept, spacious, has various swimming pools, Spa, treatments, a La Carte restaurant, they call “Gourmet Canario”.

The bar is elaborate, looking like the inside of a church, in the evenings the candles give a warm ambiance.

Breakfast is a Gourmet feast including Champagne, going back home to cornflakes and porridge is going to be a problem. The Guest rooms are all suites.

Weather for us has been sunny, with some cloud to be expected here, but cold in the evenings. Last night I said to Pete “someone has been burning incense”. I followed the smell into the hotel lounge were a log fire was crackling away. We sat next to the fire for a while and both agreed to revisit this 5 Star Hotel on our next trip.
